Currently in its 14th year of business, Sooy+Co. was ranked 11 out of 15 top emerging businesses for its 11% average sales growth, and 5% average employment growth.  In 2002, Sooy+Co. was the winner in the Golden 30, ranking first out of fifteen emerging companies.

The Golden 30: Growing Companies Demonstrating World-Class Performance is an award program honoring the fastest-growing established and emerging businesses in the Lorain, Huron and Erie County, Ohio area.

Sponsored by The Morning Journal, Lorain County Community College, Barnes, Wendling CPAs and Lorain National Bank, the awards program is in its eleventh year.

This recognition comes following the 2007 recognition by COSE as a "Ten Under 10" winner for best business practices, and October 2008 recognition as a top three finalist in the Crain's Cleveland "Cool Places to Work" for its initiatives and practices in sustainability.
