In October 2008, Sooy+Co was recognized by Crain's Cleveland Business as a top three finalist in the Crain's Cleveland "Cool Places to Work" for its initiatives and practices in sustainability.

Sooy + Co. (A Cleveland-area brand development consultancy and design firm) is located in the Silver LEED-certified Entrepreneurship Innovation Center in the Great Lakes Technology Park.

Initiatives for environmental sustainability impact our internal culture and the projects we undertake for our clients. These well-established initiatives include

• Our 2007 decision to locate in a LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building,
• Evaluating the type of paper and printing methods that we use for our client's marketing collateral,
• Our choice of Forest Stewardship Council certified partners,
• Partnering with IT providers who are using 100% renewable energy, (such as wind power)
  
• Our established practices for recycling outmoded hardware, and
• Internal practices of recycling and monitoring consumable usage (such as paper, recycling of toner cartridges, and using Energy Star compliant hardware).

Sooy+Co. has been leading its clients such as Lubrizol, The Cleveland Foundation and others communicate their sustainability and environmental initiatives since 2005.
