Elyria, Ohio [30 October, 2001] — The recently designed identity for NEOSA (formerly known as the Northeast Ohio Software Association) has been selected as a winner in the Logos 2002 competition. The identity will be included in the 3rd Big Book of Logos, to be published in Spring 2002 by HarperCollins International.
NEOSA selected Brian Sooy & Co. to redesign their identity, and assist in re–branding the group as a networking and advocacy organization for Northern Ohio’s information technology industry.
The new identity is comprised of the new logo, business stationery, custom pocket folder, and print and email–based design components for in–house communications needs.
James Cookinham, President of NEOSA, states “NEOSA’s new logo has evolved with the organization into a regionally recognized acronym that symbolizes NEOSA’s broad representation of the Information Technology Industry in Northeast Ohio, and not limited to software developers as the original name implies. NEOSA recently received the Certificate of Registration from the US Patent and Trademark office and is now a registered trademark.”

NEOSA, a member of Ohio’s IT Alliance and the leading representative of the over 2,000 Information Technology (IT) companies in Northeast Ohio, was established in 1998 as a not–for–profit trade association and continues its mission to foster the growth and development of Northeast Ohio’s information technology–based companies. In addition to the popular Thursday evening networking events in Cleveland and Lorain, NEOSA holds bootcamps for entrepreneurs, organizes an early–stage investor network, initiates and coordinates conferences on relevant topics for the IT industry, and provides educational and informational meetings covering current “hot topics” for IT business owners.
Logos 2002 is an international design competition, currently in its third year.
